Favorite Foto Friday - SILLY

This weeks theme for Favorite Foto Friday is SILLY. OH, that has definitely been easy to come up with from our household. Here are just a few of the one hundred I could post.

Here I am with two of my friends in high school, Mandy and bestie Lana Jo. We are proudly showing off our slushie tongues and Walmart smiley face stickers.

Here is Cullen. He is hilarious and this picture not only cracks me up, but sums Cullen up to a T.

I have always loved this one of Dylan. I think he looks like a "Weeble." My sister thinks he looks like a foreigner trying to sneak in. lol
"Silly Doggies, Hats are for boys!"

"I can sit in a box if I want to. And I do not look silly, no matter what Nee Nee thinks."

Poppy looks RIDICULOUS, not silly. I can't believe he put his feet on the poor baby's high chair. I can't believe I took a picture first before making him remove his footsies either.

Dylan doing his sideways thing he does when he is trying (successfully, I might add) to be cute and get extra attention. He also does this when we are feeding him baby food and expects us to put a bite in his mouth this way.

Happy First Birthday Dylan!!!!

Amy on her way to her doctor appointment that ended up being the day Dylan was born.

Just born.

Two days later, looking a little better.

Dylan and his Momma now!

Dylan is with his dad tonight (GGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR) but we all got up at 12:37 am and ate a piece of his left over smash cake in honor of his first birthday. I already had the post ready and hit "Publish Post" at exactly 12:37 am.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY BOY! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

I Heart Faces

UPDATE: I Found an "I Heart Faces Adult" picture to add to the lot.

I have been looking for something for "Wednesday's" for a while now, but just couldn't settle for "Wordless Wednesday" because I am not, well, very wordless. Don't get me wrong, Wordless Wednesday is great, just not for me. I found I Heart Faces at Marsha's blog, and decided that was great for me. So, here is my first "I Heart Faces" post.

This weeks theme is Black and White

This is Dylan's 6 month photo, and is one of my favorites. I have used it multiple times on the blog, but not for I Heart Faces.

Here is Poppy and Dylan in the spring. This may not count, I will have to check their rules, but I think it does since there is an adult in the pic.

Laughter Lives Tuesday Wednesday

Laughter LivesThis post is part of "Laughter Lives! Tuesday" on the Riggs Family Blog. Check our their blog to read everyone else's "Laughter Lives!" posts.

Again, I find myself with a Laughter Lives Tuesday Wednesday. Maybe I need to have a little chat with Brent, you know, bump it up a day. Then I would just have a Laughter Lives Wednesday Thursday. So might as well leave things be.

I am trying to unwind from my last 2 crazy weeks. Now Dylan's party is over, but I feel like I still need to be doing something. I have been in "go" mode for too long, I can't unwind. On to Laughter Lives Tuesday... ahem.

Our "distant" cousin made Dylan's cake and we just love, love, loved it!
She threw in his very own "smash" cake. Here it is before:

and here it is after

And here is how it got from "Before" to "After"
With his feet!
I have never saw a baby use their feet to "eat" their first cake with!

He has had enough of this!

"Wanna taste?"

This picture cracks me up because it looks like the bear is mourning the loss of a perfectly good cake!

We're at a church, so we had a footwashin'---though this one required some Dawn to get all the icing off Dylan's tootsies.

Poppy beating Jacob to his now-dirty Passy.

And what's a party with out at least one pair of unsuspecting bunny ears?

Amy to me & others: "Don't blame me that Aunt Willie didn't make it into the 139 picture slide show! I had NOTHING to do with that!"

Pictures of Aunt Willie that were (Thankfully) on Aunt Susie's camera. Aunt Willie was my camera man --er, woman, so sense she didn't take any self portraits, I am afraid there were none of her on my camera.

One more with Aunt Willie.... and look, Nee Nee too!

Birthday Party Slideshow

Here is a slideshow with ALL of the pictures, so if you wanna wait until some other posts to check out the shots, feel free. I figured Aunt Deane, Aunt Willie, Tonette & a few others would enjoy the "whole show," though. About 120 pics. But they are great! LOL

Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
This week has been a CRAZY week, to put it mildly. But it was a GREAT week, as well. Dylan's party went off with only 2 hitches, which I will get to later in another "birthday" post, and all the drama happened well before the party, thank goodness!

Anyway, on to the Not Me's!
I did not have a major painting catastrophe. Well, major for little ole OCD me. During one of the "red" painting days on the barn, it was quite windy. Little strings of red paint (you know, like hot, hot pizza fresh from the oven at a great pizza parlor) went flying everywhere more than once. I did not get it on my hands.....
.....my feet, legs, arms, thighs... you get the picture....
And I did not FREAK OUT. I had a doctor appointment the next day, so I HAD to use gasoline to remove the paint. Well, I had never done this before, since I don't usually like to cover myself with paint, you know, so I was not the most experienced paint remover by gasoline person on the block. My dad did not (a "for real" did not) give me 'directions' so when he poured it on the rag I was going to use, I went straight to work. I rubbed, rubbed, and rubbed some more, which sent my dad doubled over in laughter. Confused, I asked what was funny. "You will smell like gas for a week!" Apparently a "little dab will do ya" and I didn't have to go "all out." Well, I did not freak out again, afraid I would accidentally catch myself on fire somehow, (don't ask why I thought this, I just did) so I did not absolutely scrub at least 3 layers of skin off in the shower. I was not wearing my favorite "Woodstock" shirt either, (the bird, not the event) and was not afraid to wash it and dry it because it might catch on fire (again, don't ask) so I did not take this picture to document my last time wearing my favorite around-the-house shirt.

This is not what Dad's rear view mirror looked like exactly one week earlier, either.

I also did not get a little carried away with the red paint and keep going around the corner, which was supposed to stay white. It did not take about 6 coats to get it semi white again.
This is not what I did to my leg on the boards pictured above, on the blue milk crates. It did not hurt like you-know-what and I have not whined about it ever since it happened. It also did not freak me out when it would start "leaking" blood out the front at various times for no apparent reason at all. I was not convinced I had a blood clot that was going straight to my heart and/or brain.
This is not what I did to my other leg helping carry the barn in the house for Dylan to get used to before his party. I also did not whine about this "boo boo" either. And I most definitely would not take pictures of said "boo boo's" and blog about my wimpy-ness (is that a word?) to the whole world wide web, either. Nope, not me.

We did not take Dylan out in long sleeves, pants, a toboggan, and BAREFOOT to let him look at his barn. (It was actually about 65-70 degrees, we only used to toboggan because the wind was blowing like crazy. Just thought it looked hilarious and oh so "hillbilly.")

I did not work by candle light on Dylan's birthday party decorations while the electric was off because I was afraid I would run out of time. I am not 'hiding' in the back left corner while Poppy & Momma play ball with Dylan. I did not yell a my sister after taking the picture with the flash, screaming, "Now I can't see by the light of the candle!"

Dylan did not have a death grip on his 5 dollar bill from his Poppy's friend Walter. He wouldn't give it up even in his sleep.

Just hang in there for some great birthday pictures, Aunt Deane and everyone else who may be interested. I am not finished editing them, but when I am, I will post a slide show.

P.S. Brenda (Jane) and April, the balloons were the hit of the party. They were the first thing almost everyone commented on when they came in the door. They were great and Dylan has enjoyed them as a giant punching bag. Thank you guys so much! That was a great gift idea!
