I ♥ Faces - Kids & Pets

This week on I ♥ Faces, they have two categories: Kids & Pets. The "Kids" category theme is POUTING. "Pets" is ANYTHING GOES.

"POUTING" - Dylan trying to "pout" his way out of his bib!

"ANYTHING GOES" - Our Dutchess

Go to I Heart Faces for more pictures!

P.S. Dylan and his Momma are both doing miraculously better, Praise God! We had bags packed ready to go to the ER in the morning, but Dylan was doing remarkably better, so we didn't have to! He is peeing up a storm! LOL Plus his color is back and no more diarrhea, plus drinking and eating normally. Thanks for the prayers and concern.

Pictures of Dylan and Update

As promised, here is a "Dylan fix" for you guys. A little late, but here it is, none the less. LOL
This week was kinda hectic due to every one's illnesses, so I missed I Heart Faces. This weeks theme was "No Flash." Here are the two pictures I was debating between using. I hadn't narrowed it down to only one, as the rules require, but it didn't matter anyway since I didn't get to post it.

One of Dylan's MANY new things he is doing lately is his talent at turning the television off and on. Repeatedly. Until we have to be "mean" about it and get him away, sometimes even putting him in "time out." This is him immediately after I got him away from the television and was telling him "No." He bit me! LOL So what do I do? Why, take a picture, of course!
Here he is all mad at his potty because the purple pee pot isn't in there. We have to remove it when not in use because he just wants to carry it around in his MOUTH! Yeah, not the most sanitary thing to do.
They say old habits die hard. Poppy and Dylan only a couple nights having being home from the hospital.
Poppy and Dylan one night this week.
And Dylan's cutest new thing of late: blowing raspberries! LOL
He is quite good at it, too!
That is all for now, dear Dylan fans. Please still remember the little guy and his Momma in your prayers. Dylan's diarrhea is not improving, though he did have a break from it several hours today, but had it earlier tonight and again now at 2 am. He is still awake, and playing with his Fisher Price rings in the floor beside me now as I type. I figure he will be asleep soon, as he is very tired and irritable.

Favorite Foto Friday - Unique!

This weeks theme for FFF is Unique. Oh, I didn't know where to start, so I picked the animals. I know all animals are quirky, but some of ours are just plain weird, I mean, unique!

Take Gracie for instance. We have NEVER had a cat like her. She is truly Amber (my cat from high school days) reincarnate, but she has a few tweaks Amber never thought about having. Like laundry duty. Amber loved the laundry baskets, but Gracie cuts right to the chase.

She also makes a bed out of anything available. We always have to search for her new spot to hide in the garage, which can change daily.
Even halfway deflated swimming pools.
And don't you think for a minute ole Daylight will let her get the best of him. No, siree!

These two felines were definitely unique. I think they have a different word for it nowadays, since these are both girls! LOL
And our doggy Dutchess uses our porch furniture more than we do.

Autumn, one of the Fabulous 4, likes doggy bones just as good as Whiskas cat treats.

And Carmen. The famous snowball making cat.

She is also a glove stealer collector. We find gloves EVERYWHERE! My mom and Aunt Susie, who takes care of her and the "fabulous 4"(four kittens my cousin found in the middle of the road and we all adopted), gave up and let Carmen have a few gloves to call her very own. We find them all around the property. In the yard, on the porch, under a bush. Who knows where she leaves them. She always finds them, though, because she is never without the knowledge of where at least one is located.

For more Favorite Foto Friday's go to Kiss the Frog 4 Me to check them out!

I am getting a "Dylan" post ready, for anyone needing a "Dylan fix" LOL!

P.S. Please remember Dylan in your prayers. He has a terrible diarrhea and we are trying to keep him from getting dehydrated. Also, Amy is not doing good at all today, either. She may have to go to the ER when our mom gets home if she isn't any better.

Laughter Lives Tuesday - Sugar's Situation

This post is part of "Laughter Lives! Tuesday" on the Riggs Family Blog. Check out their blog to read everyone else's "Laughter Lives!" posts.

Okay, Sugar is our sweet little Chihuahua. Not so sweet. Not so little.
Ever since Dylan has came into her life, poor Sugar has not been the same. She is obsessed will all things Dylan. But most importantly, she has a Boppy addiction, and we have used all available resources to help her with this addiction, including but not limited to BAA (Boppy Addiction Anonymous), her own 2 pillows, no food or water for 2 weeks, (JUST KIDDING), etc.
All to no avail. None of our methods worked for her.
Then there is the issue of just the plain feather bed topper that Dylan likes to romp on occasionally, when we get it out.
Add the Boppy to the mix and we've got nothing but trouble.
So I had to call in the big guns: The Dog Whisperer Hotline. (Bet you didn't know that existed, did you? Got if from a BAA meeting pamphlet.) "Please hold for Cesar Millan. Your call is very important to us and we wish to help you in any way possible. Please hold for Cesar Millan....." "Hello? Sugar? Can you hear me? This is Cesar. Okay, good. STAY OFF THE BOPPY PILLOW, THE FEATHER BED, AND ALL THINGS BELONGING TO DYLAN, GOT IT MY FURRY LITTLE FRIEND? It WONT be pretty if I have to come out there. Comprende?"
Note to Cesar Millan: NO COMPRENDE!!!!!!!!!!
Gotta love dogs!

Kisses for Abby

Okay, so I am completely hooked on doing things for Abby. A girl could have a worse addiction, right? Abby's dad has requested "Kisses for Abby" so of course, I obliged.

It wasn't easy, and it may not even look like kisses, but here is Dylan blowing kisses to Abby.

I had to go outside for this one. Blowing me kisses through the door.

Now, if he would only learn to "give" the kisses up! He kisses his hand, then decides his kisses are so sweet, he will just keep them! Or something like that......

Oh, and I have to say I was THRILLED to see this......

on the Rigg's blog this morning. First off, BIG SMILES all around for Abby and Sami. AND that is OUR (well, Dylan's) Pampers Size 6 box wrapped in lovely brown mailing paper. Please understand I am NOT bragging because we sent something, people send them stuff all the time, so my package would not have been missed, but I am THRILLED because I know it got there and the girls enjoyed the foam craft stickers included with the other stuff.

Brent, Abby's dad, mentioned on one of his posts about how many people are getting touched by all the pictures, cards, etc. in Abby's room. Well, Abby is touching people all the way in Kentucky and has many, many people praying for her here as well. There is a story about that specific package, and let me just say, it touched more people than the good ole United States Postal Service could EVER imagine!

Favorite Foto Friday - Green

This weeks Favorite Foto Friday theme is Green in celebration of St. Patrick's Day. I wasn't able to get any "actual" St. Patrick's Day pics of Dylan because he was gone all day, but he did have on green. We made sure of that! He even was christened with an Irish name at Golden Corral. LOL. It was by accident by an older gentleman who misheard "Dylan" for "Gillan" and said, "Why, Gillan is an Irish name, and on St. Patrick's Day too!" Um, okay! If he says so! We will have to take his word for it! ***Update: I just had to google "Gillan" and I found out it actually is Irish. It means Servant of St. John. Hmm.*** Anyway, on to the green!

Dylan was able to go outside for a few minutes yesterday, so of course I took a few pictures. Thankfully he had green pants on, and the grass is shining through, or I would have been hard pressed for a FFF this week!

For more Favorite Foto Fridays, go to Kiss the Frog 4 Me and check them out! Happy Weekend everyone!

P.S. Terri, I am SO excited about fixing your prize! Can't wait to get it ready and get it to you! It will be hard to not post you a sneak peed before you get it, but I promise I will refrain!

100th Post and a Give Away!

UPDATE: Terri has won! Yippee! Terri, email me at
and we can talk specifics of what you want on your prize!!! Colors, names, it is up to you! Or just give me a few details and I can take it from there and surprise you. Whatever you wish!
Go to Terri's blog here. She has a great blog that I am totally addicted to!
This post is my 100th one, celebrating our sweet, blessed life with Dylan. He has touched our life in so many ways, we could never begin to express them all. I have witnessed a change in our family that only a little bouncing baby boy could bring. Who knew Uncle Troy would need visits at 9 at night? Who knew Susie would be up for it too? Who knew Aunt Willie and Tonette would drive all the way from Louisville just for a kiss and a hug? Who knew Sissy Sharon would love to talk to him on speaker phone? Who knew Dylan wouldn't know what to think of Chester's beard? Who knew Jack, Max & Snowball would EVER be gentle around a baby? Who knew Nee Nee would stay up all night just to make sure Dylan was breathing when he was sick? (Okay, so someone might have guessed that one.) Who knew Poppy would buy an orange and blue outfit 6 weeks into Amy's pregnancy? Who knew Grammy would EVER have room in her heart for a rotten, stinking, BOY! Who knew Momma would ever produce a child that looked exactly like her sister? Ahem, I mean, Who knew Momma would love Dylan more than she could ever imagine? Only one person, our Saviour, who has blessed us beyond words.

Here is a little slide show of all the ways Dylan affects us in 100 ways. Enjoy!

*If the slide show is already in progress, just hit your refresh button on your internet page to start it over from the beginning.

Now, here comes the fun part. When I sent Abby a package recently, I included a gift to Brent & Michelle made especially by me. I know, I know, I am so talented. Just kidding. This is what it looked like. Anyway, the FIRST person who comments on this post will "win" a personalized gift from me, like the one for Abby, but personalized as you wish. If you happen to have multiple children, or multiple names you wish to be on the artwork, I will customize as necessary. Comment moderation will be turned on, so the winner will be surprised! Oh, and immediate family members, like the ones in our household and neighborhood, aren't eligible. Sorry. I can fix one for you anytime, so what fun would it be to win one, right? So, good luck and hope you enjoyed my 100th post. I know 100 posts is not that big of a deal to some, but to me, it is. I actually stuck with this and really enjoy it. So, thanks, Dylan, for giving me something else to do!

99 Posts on our Blog on the Web, 99 Posts on our Blog

The last few days have been a little rough. I am sick. Like stuffed up, coughing, sneezing, night time so you can sleep, medicine, er, ah, sick. Dylan is not feeling well either. He had 3 shots on Monday and is just now getting over that.

Not that this week has been this bad.

I think it looks like Ducky committed suicide by way of balloon. I know, I have a sick sense of humor.

Here is poor little Dylan finally resting after his shots.
Here is poor not-so-little Nee Nee getting her nose busted by poor little Dylan. Pay attention to where you are going, boy! At least I had my glasses off. I already have them hot glued AND super glued together thanks to our little man.

"What, you mean I can't go out looking like this?"

Dylan's senses were a bit off this week as well. He just couldn't figure out why Harper the Hippo was having a little difficulty rolling smoothly along. (Notice the blue ball under the Hippo's mouth. It works like a Hungry, hungry hippo, picking up things as it goes. The ball just wouldn't fit through the slot.)
"Hmm... It's not in the undercarriage...."
"Oh, well. On to other toys." With the ball still stuck in Harper's mouth.
The boy's got skills. Plays chicken piano with his toes.

More attempts at potty time.

"No more pictures, please!" "Who am I kidding, I am not shy!"
"Nee Nee, enough is enough, though!"

And, finally, two attempts at "Kisses for Abby". Failed attempts, you notice.

Hopefully we will get a successful one before Friday!

P.S. My next post will be my 100th post, and I plan to make it a special one! Tune in next time to find out how!
