Susie's Real Motives Revealed

One of Dylan's greatest joys in his sweet little life right now is none other than a good visit with his Doo Doo. Little does he know, she may be his Doo Doo now, but she was our Susie FIRST. Momma Amy called her Sue Sue, if I recall correctly. I am sure I all but called her Ursula, as my mother was a HUGE advocate of phonics her first child-go round. (She scarred me for life, really. Who cares if "You were in the top reading class in Kindergarten and technically couldn't read! You can thank me for that!" I can also thank you, dear mother, for barely being able to simply say TREE at the age of 30, instead of "Tah-Tah-Tah Tree. T says Tah." Moving along.) Not sure what Tonette called her and obviously Sharon called her Mom, our dear old Susie has had no choice but to put up with all her nieces and now great nephew for long time periods cause we just loved her so much and she wouldn't say no to our visits!

Recently I put some pictures on my laptop from Susie's SD card, and something was revealed to me. Now, I admit, we have done some doozy's to poor little unsuspecting Dylan in the past, (Buzz Lightyear jammies and a stiff blue ducky raincoat)

but Susie has once again out shone us. Here is what I found lurking on her SD card. Yes, Susie uses Dylan as an outlet for her hat, and I use the word hat loosely, obsession.

A JEFF GORDON hat? Seriously? You know we are Earnhardt all the way. Sheesh.

Mixing up a batter of meanness?

Just because Woody has on a similar one doesn't make this hat okay from Dylan's point of view.

Lowell & Hardy? The Rat Pack? The guy from silent movies whose name is eluding me at the moment?

Just don't turn him loose in the river!

Sadly the fact that our 2 year old boy is pushing a baby doll in a stroller is not what is wrong with this picture!

It's the fact he is doing it with his Hanes on his head!

All jokes aside, being at Aunt Susie's house has ALWAYS been the happening place to be. Without her, who knows how all us yahoo's would have turned out. Our creativity would certainly NOT be the same, that is for sure!

Love you Doo Doo!

Oh, thank you, NeeNee. I needed to laugh my butt off this morning with the icey, snowy, slushy morning we had to endure to get to the office, this was a treat! Especially the "Hanes on the Head" in the last picture. Oh, my!

Your mom and I could probably add some memories to your dialog IF we could remember. One thing in particular I remember is her scratching you all on your backs, legs and arms until you were practically blood red all over! And, for hours and hours........

This was a true delight. Again, that you muchly.

I love you!

Too funny! Love the hat obsession!

Though I have to admit that we put hats on Itty Bit to spare him the embarrassment from his comb-over.

But who would want to cover up those lovely curls?!? :)

Great post Na Na Na NeeNee (N says Na)! I enjoyed it "muchly" also. In response to the back-scratching thing Aunt WooWoo mentioned--do you remember going to Doc Laffertys and all but having him pull out the Med books to try and diagnose your mystery rash all over your back. I was very concerned as well. If it didn't improve with the Rx cream he gave us I was to bring you back. Thankfully we were out of his office and on the way home when I remembered Susie had scratched your back the night before. He may have called social services if I had told him what really caused the "rash". Oh well on with my comments....Tonette also said SueSue if I remember correctly.(I was Rofey to her--she also looked at me every time the rooster crowed--not sure why)! Personally,I think the pic of him in the stiff ducky raincoat out on the deck on a day bathed in sunshine is just --ahhhh-Ducky! And since I'm not a NASCAR fan I think the Gordon hat works--why not? Like I said I'm not a fan. I also wonder just what it means that he likes wearing Tupperware better than a normal PaaPaw hat. PaaPaw Maynard might not be happy! As to the silent movies, was it Charlie Chaplin? I think so but not sure. As I'm going down memory lane I think I can remember Granny putting Sissy Sharons underware on her head, so that's just sorta a family tradition (better than Hank Jrs. you'll have to admit)!!Who knows--she may have put them on OUR heads as well---that could explain a few things. And in conclusion (I jotted down notes as I was looking at the blog--aren't you glad I don't always do so?) I am in total agreement about your using the word "hat" loosely. This is another top notch job you have done. I enjoyed it very much. Love NanNan ps We WILL try to keep him away from the river!! Love again. Keep 'em comin'!!

LOL, when Dylan gets all grown up, he's going to demand some serious answers as to why some of the photos were taken, but I think they are adorable.. Keep em coming!

I know I have already commented once but I reserve the right as the favorite "far-away auntie" to do so.

My dear niece, you have always brought much joy into our lives but your creative ways in bringing this blog to the bloggie world just outshines it all. I look forward with such anticipation to each new session. I share them with Doug, his son-in-law, Stephen, or anyone unfortunate enough to just be passing by! I also print pictures off from time to time and several are sitting in my home, on my desk, and on some
2nd Sunday's for Family & Friends Lunch, they sit on the serving bar at church. Everyone there knows Dylan, too!

So, keep up the good work and just know that your labor of love brings much happiness (and sometimes sadness because I'm not there seeing all of this) to the 9+ of us in the "It's a Dylan Thang" fan club.

You are loved and treasured....
